Common Access Card

Who is eligible?

The Common Access Card Program helps individuals and families whose combined net income is below the Statistics Canada low income thresholds. We will also consider other indicators of need, so if you think you qualify, please contact us or fill out the application below.

Get your Common Access Card in 3 easy steps

  1. Fill in the application form online here or visit one of the following organizations for help filling in the application.
  • Trail FAIR Society
  • Career Development Services
  • Mental Health Public Health (IHA)
  • FAN – Family Action Network
  • Sanctuary
  • Skills Centre
  1. Once you are approved, you will receive your Common Access Card, either in the mail or you will pick it up in person at the Skills Centre depending on your preference.
  2. Take your card and identification to your participating municipality to receive your discount or bursary.

The Common Access Card will be valid for one year from date of issue.

Eligibility

What types of programs & services will the card cover?

The Common Access Card shows that you are eligible for discounts to recreation and leisure programs in the City of Rossland, the City of Trail or Beaver Valley.

Rossland and area residents: the card allows you to access a recreation bursary to be used to enhance health and wellness up to a maximum of $200 per person per year. Learn more about Rossland’s program here.

Trail and TRP qualified residents will be eligible for:

  • 50% discount on general admission for the Trail Aquatic & Leisure Centre
  • 50% discount on 10x pass to the Trail Aquatic & Leisure Centre
  • 50% discount on general admission for public skating and skate rental
  • 50% discount on two eligible programs per year per person after all other funding sources have been utilized (ie: JumpStart).
